Azithromycin Capsules 500mg

Azithromycin capsules are one of the commonly used antibiotics and have antibacterial effects on a variety of pathogens. This medicine has a remarkable therapeutic effect on respiratory tract infections, such as tonsillitis, bronchitis, pneumonia, etc.

Indications of azithromycin:

1. Acute pharyngitis and acute tonsillitis caused by Streptococcus pyogenes.
2. Sinusitis, otitis media, acute bronchitis and acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis caused by sensitive bacteria.
3. Pneumonia caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae and Mycoplasma pneumoniae.
4. Urethritis and cervicitis caused by Chlamydia trachomatis and non-multidrug-resistant Neisseria gonorrhoeae.
5. Skin and soft tissue infections caused by sensitive bacteria.

Precautions

1.Eating can affect the absorption of azithromycin, so it should be taken orally one hour before meals or two hours after meals.

2.For patients with mild renal insufficiency (creatinine clearance rate bb0 40ml/ min), no dose adjustment is required. However, there is no data on the use of azithromycin in patients with more severe renal insufficiency. Caution should be exercised when administering azithromycin to these patients.

3.As the hepatobiliary system is the main excretion route of azithromycin, patients with impaired liver function should use it with caution, and those with severe liver diseases should avoid it. Liver function should be followed up regularly during the medication period.

4.If allergic reactions occur during the medication period (such as angioedema, skin reactions, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrosis, etc.), the medication should be stopped immediately and corresponding measures taken.

5.During the treatment period, if the patient presents with diarrhea symptoms, pseudomembranous enteritis should be considered. After diagnosis, corresponding treatment measures should be taken, including maintaining water and electrolyte balance and supplementing protein, etc.
