Hydrocortisone

Hydrocortisone, also known as cortisol, is an organic compound with the chemical formula C21H30O5. It is extracted from the adrenal cortex and is an adrenal cortical hormone with the strongest effect on carbohydrate metabolism, thus belonging to a type of glucocorticoid.
